Donald G. Hope, MD, FACS

Dr. Hope graduated Cum Laude in biology from Villanova University in Villanova, PA and received his medical degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. He completed his neurosurgical residency training as Chief Resident at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Hope is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

He is a member of the Joint Section on Neurotrauma and Critical Care of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Neurosurgical Society of the Virginias, and the Washington Academy of Neurosurgery.

He has served as President, HCA Reston Hospital Medical Staff and currently is Neurosurgery Section Chief at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital.

Dr Hope has been honored by articles in the Washingtonian Magazine’s Top Doctors – every year since 1990 – and write-ups in The Washington Post. Dr. Hope was the highest-rated neurosurgeon in Northern Virginia by Washington Consumer’s Checkbook , Spring/Summer 2011 and Summer/Fall 2014, and was recently listed in Northern Virginia Magazine, “Top Doctors”.
